Wide Receivers

Coach Mike McCarthy said earlier this year that he wants to increase Nelson's touches and "give him more matchups, expand his route tree where he's maybe more of the focus." 9 Wes WELKER PATRIOTS TIER: 2

AGE: 31 BYE WEEK: 9 AUCTION: $18

So much for Welker getting old. He set career bests last season in receiving yards and TDs. (It's worth noting that 2011 was a contract year.) It's unlikely Welker can repeat the eye-popping numbers—especially with the addition of Brandon Lloyd—but there's no reason why he won't approach 90 catches again. He's a top 10 pick at wideout in standard leagues and a top five choice in PPR.
