THE LORDS of Augusta have had their critics over the years, but no one was complaining about their decision to allow kids aged eight to 16 into the Masters free if they were accompanied by a badge-holding adult, and to televise the tot-friendly Par-3 contest. All of which gave the 72nd Masters a feel-good, family-values aura. The whole thing could be set to violin music and a Jim Nantz voice-over. Those touches are almost certainly in the works for next year.
