The Giants completed a three-game sweep of the Eagles with a 20-10 victory in the Divisional Playoffs on Sunday.

New York's win represents the ninth time in NFL history that one team has beaten another three times. It is the second time in as many seasons (Titans 3-0 vs. Jaguars in 1999).

The Eagles faced an equally difficult chore. Teams that have dropped the first two games to an opponent have come back to beat that opponent in the postseason five times in league history. The last squad to do it? The 1998 Arizona Cardinals, who lost to the Dallas Cowboys twice in the regular season before beating them 20-7 in the wild-card round.

Overall, teams have met three times in a season on 43 occasions since 1970, including the Dolphins-Colts and Rams-Saints games in the wild-card round last week. Division rivals split their regular-season games 28 times.
