Biography: Four-year starter awarded all-conference honors since his sophomore season. Senior totals included 33 receptions/331 yards/4 TDs after he had 35/369/3 as a junior. Posted a career-best 40 receptions in 2009.
Positives: Efficient, reliable tight end who gets the most from his talent. Instinctive, plays heads-up football and always works to make himself an available target. Uses his hands to get off jams at the line of scrimmage and is fluid releasing into pass routes. Gives effort running routes, stays low exiting breaks and positions himself to make the reception. Extends his hands and adjusts backwards to grab the errant throw. Displays good focus, awareness and gets past the sticks on third down to pick up first-down yardage. Bends his knees, blocks with leverage and works until the whistle blows.
Negatives: Does not show a burst in his game and isn?t a downfield threat. Does a bit of double catching. Marginal football strength.
Analysis: Bryan was a terrific college tight end, but he lacks the physical skills to be anything other than a backup on the NFL level. With that said, he'll be a reliable role player and an asset to a roster.
