Biography: Two-year starter awarded all-conference honors since his freshman season. Rushing totals last year included 311 attempts/1711 yards/19 TDs with an average of 5.5 yards per carry. Added 24 receptions/270 yards/1 TDs. Freshman rushing numbers included 262/1532/17 with an average of 5.8 yards per carry.

Positives: Quick, creative ballcarrier who displays skill on the inside or around the corner. Is a patient runner who possesses vision and instincts. Very quick, can turn it on in a single step and easily avoids defenders. Bounces around piles, creates his own yardage and effectively follows blocks everywhere on the field. Locates the running lanes, weaves through the traffic and consistently picks up positive yardage.

Negatives: Not a strong back who picks up yardage off initial contact or breaks tackles. At times does too much East/West running rather than turning it up the field. Lacks breakaway speed.

Analysis: Hillman has been incredibly productive the two years he started at San Diego State and offers the football skills to be used as a rotational ballcarrier in the NFL.
